CRECE trip to El Salvador

Our volunteer group traveled to El Salvador, where we partnered with Fundacrece, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities through education and sustainable initiatives. Supported by donations from CRECE, a nonprofit based in Oakland, and contributions gathered from our church and local donation drives, we distributed essential items to four villages in need.

Packages included bags of rice, beans, toiletry kits, cereal, bars, clothing, masks, bandaids, and many other foods.

Some clothing distributed were athletic items, soccer, and basketball uniforms, all collected from donation items in CA.

Our trip was more than just delivering aid—it was about connecting with the people and witnessing the transformative work Fundacrece has been doing. We visited villages where women had received sewing machines and vocational training through programs funded by the organization. Seeing the impact of these efforts firsthand was humbling, and we were honored to attend a graduation ceremony for women who completed sewing courses, celebrating alongside Tulio, the head of Fundacrece, and his family.

During our stay, Tulio and his family warmly hosted us, making us feel like part of their community. This experience not only highlighted the power of collective action and generosity but also deepened our commitment to supporting initiatives that foster independence and dignity in underserved communities.

Join us as we share stories, photos, and reflections from this unforgettable trip, and learn how you can contribute to making a difference with Fundacrece!
